outside the Elbit Israeli Arms Factory “UAV Engines” in Shenstone, in Lichfield\u00a0 WS14 0DT,<\/strong>\u00a0 Staffordshire to stand in solidarity with the “Palestinian Right of Return March”<\/strong> taking place on Land Day in Gaza and across Palestine.<\/p>\n

If Palestinians will do it facing live ammunition from the Israeli army, then we should stand with them here.<\/p>\n

On the 29 March 2018 at 10:30am\u00a0groups and campaigners from across the UK are going to Elbit\u2019s factory in Lichfield Postcode; \u00a0\u00a0 WS14 0DT\u00a0 (north of Birmingham) to stand with the protests across Palestine on Land Day and to\u00a0demand that the UK stops arming Israel and that the factory close.<\/span><\/div>\n
Elbit Systems manufacture UAVs (drones) that are used by the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza.\u00a0We call for a two way arms embargo and an end to the UK ‘s cooperation with Israel’s on going crimes against the Palestinian people.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nThe assault on Gaza of 2014 which killed over 2,200 Palestinians, including 561 children sleeping peacefully in their beds, was one of the most brutal examples of Israel\u2019s ongoing occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Elbit Systems is the most iconic accomplice to israel’s crimes profiting from the illegal occupation\u00a0 At the time, activists occupied Elbit\u2019s factory in Shenstone, halting its operations and costing Elbit over \u00a3100,000.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Friday 30th March is Palestinian Land Day<\/strong> and thousands of Palestinians will march courageously en masse towards their homes in Palestine from where they have been violently forced out. They will be marching forward knowing\u00a0they face the\u00a0Israeli\u00a0army who will open fire on them. \u00a0 We will demonstrate at the UAV Israeli Arms factory Thursday 29th, the last day it is open before Easter.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Join us in demanding a two-way military embargo on arms sales with Israel and Stand with Palestinians returning to their land against Israel’s brutal army.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Shenstone is a small village outside Birmingham, accessible by National Rail trains. The Elbit factory, UAV ENGINES, is five minutes walk from Shenstone railway station which is on the Longbridge Lichfield cross city line.Trains are every 15 minutes from New Street station.<\/p>\n

If you are coming from a big city where there is an active Palestine Solidarity movement it might make more sense to book a mini-bus or coach instead \u2013 please coordinate with us via our email (above).<\/p>\n
